I am a descendant of Charles T. Nix, son of Robert Lawrence Nix and Lela B. Cobb Nix, Robert was son of Marcus DeLafayette Nix and Elizabeth Ann Haththingy. Marcus was son of Ambrose Nix who married Lydia. My father is still living and he has only one sister living. Just trying to find out all I can about my family. Hope you have some more information for me. I was trying to find out if we were of Cherokee heritage. My dad always said that he was indian, but not too sure.
